Brandfetch specializes in brand data: logos in every variant, brand profiles, brand search and transaction lookups. Prefetch covers the same core jobs for domains, and adds web data: scraping, search, crawling and monitors, with one key and one credit balance.
Compared with Brandfetch’s public documentation as of November 2026.

How access works

  • Logos: both use a publishable ID in the URL: token on Prefetch, c on Brandfetch. Brandfetch requires logo URLs to be embedded in pages, and doesn’t permit fetching them from scripts. For logo files on your server, Prefetch’s /brand returns logo URLs you can download.
  • Brand data: Brandfetch’s Brand API includes 100 free requests, then a paid plan. Prefetch’s /brand costs 10 credits, and the Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month.

When Brandfetch is the better fit

  • You show logos for stocks, ETFs or crypto, by ticker, ISIN or symbol.
  • You need wordmarks and symbols as well as icons, light and dark variants, or SVG from the CDN.
  • You serve more logo requests than Prefetch’s plan quotas.
  • You work in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets or Airtable, or prefer GraphQL.

When Prefetch is the better fit

  • You need brand data and web data, such as scraping a site you just enriched or monitoring a customer’s pricing page.
  • You want a site’s full design system as CSS variables and a Tailwind theme.
  • You want IAB industry categories and company details from a domain.
